In order to contribute to the goals of the Kyoto Protocol and the United Nations Environment Programme "Billion Tree Campaign", the Parque Biológico de Gaia (Gaia Biological Park) aims to acquire and plant trees on 23 ha (56.8 acres) of adjacent land, annexing it to the present 35 ha (86.4 acres). In order to do so, it relies on the collaboration of us all - those responsible for neutralizing the effects of carbon dioxide emissions through the acquisition of forest and the assurance given by the municipality of Gaia to keep and maintain the forest. Tecnilíngua has been a patron of this project since 2010, since we believe that only by finding a balance between the environment and civilization can we create a sustainable future.
